I CAN STILL REMEMBER WHEN SHE WAS A BUCKAROO JUST LIKE YOU. YEP, SHE EVEN YODELED. CONGRATULATIONS KACEY. WE LOVE YOU.

On October 31st, Kacey shared a link to this County Line Magazine article on her Official Facebook Page. Says Janet:

"This article can't hurt her for sure [Texas slang for 'way to go!']. Big magazine, and lots of attention will be paid to her, no doubt.

"She's come a long way from 'Buckaroos.' She came to her last Buckaroo performance a few weeks before she turned 18--which was when she couldn't be a Buckaroo anymore (age limit is through age 17).

"CONGRATULATIONS ARE DEFINITELY IN ORDER."

On TV Show Nashville!

Says Kacey Musgraves on Facebook October 15th:

Here's the full version of Trent Dabbs and I singin' our song "Undermine" which is gonna be featured in the next episode of the new ABC show, Nashville. Check it ouuuuut!

"Merry Go Round!"

On October 10th, Janet sent this Email to her Buckaroos regarding Kacey's continued rise in the entertainment world. Way to go Kacey!

Just to keep everyone up with Kacey's career, her song ["Merry Go Round"] is now in rotation on GAC and is #32 on the Billboard Charts.

Billboard has an article on her in their magazine and the photo used for the article was taken by her sister who is our own KELLY MUSGRAVES. Kelly was a Buckaroo way back also. Kelly didn't take to the music as much as she did art and now has a very successful PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS AND IS HIRED TO GO ALONG ON KACEY'S GIGS AND TAKE TONS OF PHOTOS FOR THE RECORD COMPANY AND THE PROMOTION DEPARTMENT. Congratulations are in order for both of those girls/ex Buckaroos.

Kacey's recording is now in the TOP 40 on the Country Countdown which is heard nationally.

Her song and voice will be heard on the new TV show NASHVILLE on Oct. 17th. It's a little complicated but, if you watch the show, that is what will happen. Since I have not watched the show yet (it comes on this week), I can't say it is kid friendly so, I'll just say that you will hear Kacey's voice on the show of the 17th.

Things are really happening fast in Kacey's Career and we'll all have to just HANG ON WITH HER FOR THIS RIDE.

Her grandmother will keep us up to date. Thanks Grandma. I hope I got all of this right. Janet

Former Buckaroo Kacey Musgraves just tweeted: "Opening for @AlisonKrauss & Union Station tonight!! Pumped. Not one bit worthy. Not one." And then: "Just met an angel. Named @AlisonKrauss. Nicest lady EVER."

Kacey Musgraves was so excited about meeting and opening for Loretta Lynn that she couldn't sleep a few nights before! Said Kacey, when posting this photo: "Got to pay my respects to the queen of country music..Loretta Lynn! Such a great night I'll never forget."
